What an ACLS class we had this last weekend! After I excused my class for lunch, there was a power outage that covered at least five city blocks (including our building!). Two of my students,(a Doctor and a male LVN) got stuck in the elevator between the 2nd and 3rd floor! Our office building has very few people on Saturday and this was no exception. I cannot tell you how often the skills you nurses learn in our IV therapy and ACLS classes are used in your day to day patient care.
